BACK TO KENYA

Hello All.

There is a team of 7 heading to Kenya from May 30-June 11. We will be working with our friends at Transformed International (www.transformedinternational.org).

Here are some of the things we will be doing:

• spending time with the NEEMA and SHIMO Girls (see faithecenroad.blogspot.com or www.transformedinternational.org for more information on these projects)
• building 2 mud hut structures at the "Veronica Home" (a new home for children that are HIV positive)
• "mudding" one of the huts
• visiting the In-Step Children's Home for abandoned babies (www.rehemaministries.com)
• visiting Desert Streams School in the Kibera Slums, Nairobi
• delivering mattresses and clothing to some of the families in the TI home-sponorship program
• living life and encouraging our friends at TI
• having fun making memories together as a team

Please be praying for the team as we travel. Here are some ways to pray:

• safety as we travel by plane, van, and foot
• health for the 2 weeks we are gone
• that we would get through London with no problems (British Airways in on strike and there are have been recurring issues with the volcanos blowing ash and shutting down the London airport)
• that we would be a blessing to the TI team and the many people we will spend time with
• for an ease in relationships with the neema girls, shimo girls, and the children and staff at the Veronica Home
